THE CHRISTIAN IN SOCIETY

An Informative Course

on the Role of the Christian in the World

August 20-24, 2007 - Harrison, AR

Brochure | Poster

If you missed this incredible course last year in Laramie, here's your chance to experience it in person!

Christians find themselves continually on the defensive in the public sectors of life as political correctness declares expressions of faith offensive. How should the Christian respond? Where is Christ in relation to culture and issues of public life? What role should government play in matters of values and morality?

This course is designed for the thinking Christian who is looking for answers and clarity on the Christian's role in society. If you are looking for real answers on these issues and for great discussions with like-minded Lutheran Christians, this is a course you simply cannot pass up! Join us!

The course is taught by a seasoned, respected teacher in the church, the Director of the Concordia Institute for Christian Studies: Rev., Dr. Steven A. Hein.

Northwest Arkansas Fall Foliage

As you can see, this is no survey course but rather will delve deep into topics of great relevance to you and I. As much enjoyment can be had in the study of the topic however, we'll have even more "after hours". A day at this course will consist of morning matins to start off on the right foot, then delving deeply into the topic of the day. About 3pm or so, the group will decide what to do that evening. Given that this is the first year of a course in Harrison, it will be up to you to decide what happens in the evenings.

So sign up now and get your readings out of the way early. The syllabus and required readings are sent out upon registration... did we mention there is an early bird discount? We guarantee great discussions with Lutherans from across the country (just ask anyone who's been to one of the Laramie courses before). Logistics for hotels and transportation will be added to this page and sent out (if you give us your email address) later by email.

Hope to see you there!
