on the Radical Nature of Grace
July 27-31, 2009 - Harrison, AR
We know you've been waiting for this year's course and here it is! You've read the parables and think you know what they mean but do you? Are you aquainted with the Outrageous Grace being show therein? The Concordia Institute for Christian Studies is proud to present the 2008 Summer Intensive Course -- A Study of the Parables of Jesus. Held this year in Harrison, AR we're going to dig deep in the often mysterious parables of Jesus.
This course is designed for the thinking Christian who is looking for a correct understanding of the parables of Jesus. Just read through the topics below. "Grace as an offensive way of life"?!? Is that really in the parables? Only one way to find out of course, join us!
The course this year is taught (as every year since 2000) by a seasoned, respected teacher in the church, the Director of the Concordia Institute for Christian Studies: Rev., Dr. Steven A. Hein.

As much enjoyment can be had in the study of the topic however, we'll have even more "after hours". Again we will promise some great theological discussion, after hours beer, some great meals, and fine fellowship at Wanda's lovely home, conference center and beer garden.
We only have room for 40 participants at this course that's sure to fill up early. So sign up now! Doing so will allow you to get your readings out of the way early. The syllabus and required readings are sent out upon registration... did we mention there is an early bird discount (until April 31st)? We guarantee great discussions with Lutherans from across the country (just ask anyone who's been to one of our courses before)!
